Resources & Setup Guides
Download the AndVPN client for instant access to all 6 supported protocols, or follow individual setup guides for each protocol below
Recommended — Easiest Way to Connect
Use the AndVPN Client
One app. All six protocols. Scan your device's andvpn:// QR code or import the .andvpn config file — the client fetches every protocol configuration (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec/IKEv2, OpenConnect, SoftEther, V2Ray) and every available server automatically. No manual setup, no hunting for config files.
- Switch between all 6 protocols with one tap — each shows speed and security ratings to help you choose
- Switch servers by region and load in real time — see live server health and latency
- Monitor live inbound/outbound traffic, packet flow, and full session statistics
- Available on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android
Prefer to use a protocol-specific third-party client? Follow these steps. Note: each third-party client connects to that one protocol only — no in-app protocol or server switching.
Step 1: Choose a protocol
See the Overview tab to compare WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec/IKEv2, OpenConnect, SoftEther, and V2Ray
Step 2: Download the protocol's official client
Each protocol tab lists the official third-party clients for every platform
Step 3: Download your config file
Go to My Devices and download the protocol-specific config file (.conf, .ovpn, JSON, etc.) for this device
Step 4: Import and connect
Import the config into the client and connect — see the per-protocol Setup Instructions tab for detailed steps
The AndVPN client is not tied to any single protocol. When you scan the andvpn:// QR code or import the .andvpn config file for your device, the app loads configurations for all six protocols simultaneously, along with every available server. From there you can:
Switch Protocols
Tap to change between WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec/IKEv2, OpenConnect, SoftEther, or V2Ray — speed and security ratings shown for each
Switch Servers
Browse servers by region and current load — live health and latency shown so you always pick the fastest server
Live Traffic Stats
Monitor real-time inbound/outbound data, packet flow, and full session statistics directly in the app
All Platforms
Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android — one account, all devices, all protocols

Connection Failed:
- • Check your internet connection is working
- • Verify config file is not corrupted or expired
- • Try a different server or protocol
- • Check firewall/antivirus settings
- • Ensure correct credentials are entered
Slow Connection:
- • Try WireGuard for best performance
- • Switch to a geographically closer server
- • Check if your ISP is throttling VPN traffic
- • Test connection speed without VPN to compare
- • Consider using V2Ray if being throttled
Frequent Disconnects:
- • IPsec/IKEv2 has better reconnection on mobile
- • Check for network instability or weak signal
- • Some protocols handle network changes better
- • Enable "keep-alive" in client settings if available
Blocked by Firewall:
- • Try OpenConnect (uses SSL port 443)
- • V2Ray has traffic obfuscation features
- • Some networks block VPN protocols by DPI
- • Contact support for firewall bypass options
The fastest way to resolve connection issues is to open the AndVPN app and switch to a different protocol or server — the app shows live server health and per-protocol speed ratings so you can make an informed choice instantly. If you are using a third-party client, you can also try a different protocol by downloading the relevant config from My Devices.
